National School Choral Award
Selection for this honor is issued to a student who displays outstanding leadership, outstanding contributions to the success of the school vocal program, and of an unusual degree of loyalty, cooperation and high qualities of conduct, by the general consent of the music faculty, school.
This student pushes the group to be it’s best and gives 100% of their effort. When sick this is the student who is there singing even if it hurts because they set high expectations for themselves and in turn support their section. They asks to be challenged and displays an unusual loyalty to the schools music program. They are involved in music through many facets and not just through the choir/chorale program but often things outside of the vocal program or part of the band program. This student understands the musicality's and often contributes more to the song. They seemingly always know there part and have a tendency to know more than what was taught because they were practicing outside of the school day.

Selection for this honor is based on student talent and enthusiasm of outstanding choral members. This students tends to be a positive voice for the group. In some senses they are a perfectionist and strive to be the best they can.
This student also goes out of their way to participate in the choral program as often as possible including things like being in curricular choir, chorale, auditioning for All-State, going to all honor choir events, participating in solo ensemble, and being part of the musical and madrigals. This student soaks up every opportunity to be a part of the vocal program and is commended for their talent and dedication.

Arion Foundation Award
Selection for this honor is based on the student’s individual contribution to his or her musical organization, scholastic standing, musicianship, performing ability and demonstration of personal qualities in keeping with the school’s standards.
This student tends to encourage the choir/chorale to do their best, refocus when they are off task, reminds them of technical things like diction and dynamics, they bring ideas to the director that might help, and contribute to the overall groups performance. This student is a leader.
